Dr. Jones was born in Violet, LA. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University and graduated medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA.
He relocated to Winston-Salem to pursue his internal medicine residency training at Wake Forest Baptist Health where he was selected as a chief resident, elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and completed a Gastroenterology fellowship.
Dr. Jones then completed an advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship at Yale School of Medicine, where he received additional training in various advanced endoscopic procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, enteral stent placement and complex polypectomy with endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR).
Along with his general gastroenterology practice, Dr. Jones has particular interest in gastrointestinal cancers and diseases involving the pancreatic and biliary systems.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Jones joined the group in 2021 and is accepting new patients.
