John Sweeney, MD

Dr. Sweeney received his undergraduate degree from Marietta College and his medical degree from the Marshall University School of Medicine. His internship and residency were completed at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and his fellowship was completed at The University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.

He is board certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Along with his general gastroenterology practice, he has special interests in diseases of the pancreatic and biliary systems. He has completed additional training to sub-specialize in EUS and ERCP procedures. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
