An Ohio native, Dr. Cengia received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and attended medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
He came to North Carolina to complete his internal medicine residency, chief residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Wake Forest.
Along with his general gastroenterology practice, Dr. Cengia has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and liver disease.
He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the North Carolina Society of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Cengia joined the group in 2019 and is currently accepting new patients.
