Oluwaseun Shogbesan, MD
Dr. Shogbesan was born in Nigeria, West Africa where she obtained her medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and practiced in different clinical and academic settings prior to relocating to the United States. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and was inducted into the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. She then proceeded to Reading Hospital, Pennsylvania where she completed her residency in internal medicine. Here she served as Chief Resident, Junior Faculty, and Academic Hospitalist. It was also here that she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology, where she was recognized and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She is currently a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Shogbesan is passionate about medical education. She loves all aspects of gastroenterology with a particular interest in obesity and how it intersects with hepatology and gastroenterology. When not working, she enjoys music, traveling and visiting places with her husband and two children.
