Kristen Rinkenberg, PA-C
Kristen was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. She then attended Duquesne University where she received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed with the North Carolina Medical Board.
In 2006, she started working as a PA in South Carolina before moving to North Carolina. She has practiced as a physician assistant in various fields including family practice, urgent care, orthopedic surgery, and hospital medicine – but her interest in digestive care is what drew her to specialize in gastroenterology at GAP.
Kristen is happily married, and her two children (and dogs and chickens!) keep her very busy. She enjoys serving at her church, singing, reading, traveling, exercising, scuba diving, and learning Spanish.
