Hemorrhoid Banding

Hemorrhoid banding offers a quick, non-surgical, office-based solution to internal hemorrhoids.
This method uses a smaller, gentler, single-use device that minimizes discomfort and the risk of complications when compared to traditional surgical methods.
What happens during hemorrhoid banding?
The physician places a tiny rubber band around the base of the hemorrhoid. The band restricts blood flow, causing the banded tissue to shrink and fall off.
Are the results immediate?
Typically, the banded tissue will fall off within a few days. 2-3 sessions are required to prevent recurrence, each spanning 2 weeks apart.
What preparation is required?
There is no prep, sedation, or recovery time required.
