Dr. Harris received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
His residency was completed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and he also completed a fellowship through the University of Virginia. He joined the group in 2002.
He is board certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Affiliations include the American College of Gastroenterology, the the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the North Carolina Society of Gastroenterology.
Along with his general gastroenterology practice, Dr. Harris is a participating provider in GAP’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinic. He also collaborates with PMG Research of Winston-Salem in clinical research studies.
