OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

July 2020 Update
Dear GAP Patient,
In an effort to keep our patients, providers and staff safe and healthy, we continue to refine our already enhanced safety precautions throughout the course of the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 pandemic. The processes we implement are part of our efforts to keep our patients, providers and staff safe and healthy, so we appreciate you working with us during your visit.
Here’s what you need to know:• We require that face coverings be worn over the nose and mouth while inside any GAP building.• You will be asked pre-screening questions prior to check-in. Please answer the questions thoughtfully and truthfully.• If you arrive feeling sick, are running a fever, are experiencing any well-recognized COVID-19 related symptoms, have a positive COVID-19 test result within the last 14 days (OR are awaiting the results of a pending test), your appointment will be rescheduled.
We appreciate your cooperation in following our guidelines, but do understand how important it is not to delay your care. If you are unable to keep your appointment due to any reason, we encourage you to speak with a member of our team who can communicate your questions to your provider. We also continue to offer video and telemedicine visits for qualified patients. If you’re not sure what is best for you, or whether you should reschedule your appointment, please contact our office at (336) 448-2427 and we will be happy to discuss your situation with your provider team.
We know things might look and seem a little different when you visit. But don’t worry – behind the masks, we’re still the same compassionate, patient-centered group that you’re used to.

To our patients and referring providers, GAP knows how important continuity of care is to a patient’s overall health and well-being.That’s why, in an effort to avoid any delays in providing the best care possible to our patients, GAP is expanding availability for on-site appointments and procedures.
To slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep our patients, providers and staff safe and healthy, we will have enhanced safety precautions that are above and beyond our already stringent protocols. Thank you for working with us when you visit.
We will continue to offer video and telemedicine visits for qualified patients who prefer these methods. If you’re not sure what is best for you, please contact our office and we will be happy to discuss with your provider.

Our highest priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, providers, and staff. Therefore, in alignment with all federal, state and professional association directives related to COVID-19, Gastroenterology Associates of Piedmont has been working to reschedule all non-essential on-site services until further notice.
We recognize that many patients are still scheduled for routine medical exams or procedures. These patients will be receiving calls from our office to reschedule such appointments. Many will qualify to be rescheduled as telehealth visits – a new and exciting option for GAP!
Please note that:● We are still up and running for appointments needed to provide essential clinical services.● We are available via phone at (336) 448-2427 to assist with any other needs you may have.● We will continue to have a physician on call 24/7 for urgent needs that arise outside of business hours. We value that you trust the care we provide at Gastroenterology Associates of Piedmont and appreciate your patience as we work through some new processes and alternative schedules.
